Great Waters, the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-signature design, winds through densely wooded evergreen corridors only to open up to nine holes featuring the blue waters of Lake Oconee as the rough. Named as one of the best courses in Georgia, second only to Augusta National, Great Waters proves to be one of the most aesthetically inspiring golf courses in the continental United States. Eighteen major professional titles cemented Jack Nicklaus’ on-course legacy in golf history as one of the game’s greatest performers. However, those who play his Great Waters course at Reynolds can attest that his architectural skills represent an entirely new kind of legacy. The dramatic signature layout of Great Waters, much of which winds among the tranquil coves of Lake Oconee, has provided golfers with exceptional play since its premiere in 1992. Undergoing a restoration in 2019, the completely rebuilt, modernized, and reconditioned version of the 1992 original is a visually breathtaking 18 holes of championship golf along the Lake Oconee shoreline that looks almost exactly the way Jack Nicklaus first designed it—but better. *Please note that Great Waters is cart path only until 5/8/26. This Scottish-style championship course was built on hilly terrain with water features coming into play on three holes. The rough is composed of a heather-type grass and numerous mounds and grassy hollows provide for an even greater challenge. Please note: For April 2 - April 12, 2027, pricing is by request only. The 27-hole Reynolds National Course plays long and narrow through the towering pines and flowering dogwoods that are native to middle Georgia. Fazio uses the natural beauty of the land in conjunction with his expert eye for a challenging layout to create a true work of art. With more than 100 bunkers, several holes tucked along the shores of Lake Oconee and large undulating greens, the National Course gives players little room for error. Its trademark is its dramatic elevation changes from tee to fairway, as well as on approach shots – some as much as 60 feet. The National offers unmatched shot-making opportunities and no two holes are alike. Please note: For April 2 - April 12, 2027, pricing is by request only. Described by many as a mind-game golf, the new Jones addition to the Reynolds Lake Oconee landscape is designed to be a true risk/reward challenge - often forcing golfers to choose between direct tee shots over inlets of Lake Oconee and long drives down tree-lined dog-leg fairways. Noted for its spectacular par threes - featuring multiple tee boxes, drop shots from elevated tees and numerous water hazards - the course offers five holes in which Lake Oconee comes directly into play and four others tendering magnificent lake views. Though the interior creeks and ponds and the expansive vistas of Lake Oconee provide spectacular scenery for Oconee Course golfers, they also ensure an unrivaled challenge for players of all experience levels. This incredible Rees Jones design has captured the attention of the golfing industry, hosting highly-visible tournaments like the 2007 PGA Cup and the Chick-Fil-A Bowl Alma Mater.
