Built in 1945 and designed by Casey O'Callaghan, this flat, 18 hole, public course features many trees and bunkers. Golfers will face open fairways that feature Rye Grass turf. Las Vegas Golf Club is one of the oldest courses in the valley and has always been a local favorite and now is frequented by visitors who are finding the traditional layout to their liking. Annually, this course plays host to the Southern Nevada Golf Association's Las Vegas City Amateur, a major event.

Siena Golf Club is the crown jewel of the age-qualified Siena community in Summerlin, but it would fit as a first-rate golf course in any setting. Surrounded by the majestic Spring Mountains as well as great views of the Las Vegas skyline, Siena features gently rolling fairways, artfully-contoured bunkering and undulating greens. The course is fun, period. Talented designers Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt have engineered a nice blend of doglegs and straightaway holes, as well as a variety of uphill downhill holes to make the course enjoyable for players of every ability, and give players a chance to swing most of the clubs in their bag. Though a majority of the fairways are fairly generous, strategic bunkering around the greens as well as six holes with water features give the layout real teeth.

At Revere there's always room to breathe, relax and enjoy the fabulous views, all the way to Mt. Charleston in the west and the Vegas strip to the north. The views are also augmented by elevated teeing areas on nearly every hole to give players a gratifying perch from which to view shots climbing against the dramatic backdrops. Typically buttressed by huge boulders, the broad tees are also eye pleasing. Desert landscaping, featuring contoured brick retaining walls, frame many of the fairways cut through the canyons. The elevated tees are also useful in adding lots of ego-boosting distance to drives. There are few places in the world where players can hit the ball as far as they can at some choice holes at Revere.

Set 800 feet above the Las Vegas Valley, the course rolls across 240 acres of majestic scenery in the foothills of the Black Mountain Range. The layout can be stretched to 7,400 yards with a rating/slope of 75.7/142, but four sets of tees make it playable for all, with each subsequent set of tees dropping 400 yards or more off the total distance. In addition, many of the tees are greatly elevated, so some holes play shorter than they appear on the scorecard. And there's an added bonus: any wind is usually helping, from the southwest, and many holes are sheltered.
